It's Chai Time ~ Easy Orange Pineapple Cake

Oranges and pineapples go well together, especially in jam or gelee. But this time I wanted to combine oranges and pinapples for baking a cake using orange pineapple jam. And as I didn't feel like baking anything complicated or extraordinary it turned out to be an easy, simple but absolutely delicious and fruity cake. 

Orange Pineapple Cake

3 cups white flour
1/2 cup semolina
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup orange pinapple jam
1 1/2 cups orange juice
3 eggs
1/2 cup oil

+ 400gm small pieces of pinapple

Preheat oven to 180degC. Line a baking tray. Sieve together flour, semolina and baking powder. Beat together sugar, jam, juice, eggs and oil. Beat in flour mixture until you have a pretty liquid but fluffy batter. Pour into prepared baking tray and place the pinapple pieces on top. Bake for about 30 minutes. Let cool and enjoy :)

This recipe is very easy and can be used with any other jam or fruits. I hope you liked it.
